TOP 30: SIN COS TAN SHADE MATTHEW DEAR

It's not often that Matthew Dear gets shown up here on Indie30 but this week's chart sees Finnish duo Jori Hulkkonen and Juho Paalosmaa (Villa Nah) who together form Sin Cos Tan overshadow the American producer with their new single, 'Trust' off a yet to be finished debut LP due in November. It debuts at 12. While we say overshadow, it's more like they've shaded Dear, whose own album, Beams came out yesterday. It's our album of the week in case you hadn't noticed - now that's consolation. Opening track 'Her Fantasy' debuts at 14. Both have official videos to view below.

More electronic music in the form of Teengirl Fantasy enters this week. With percussion reminiscent of New York's Gang Gang Dance, the first single off the London duo's second album, Tracer, 'EFX' featuring Kelela is in at 20. We featured the scuffed up retro pop, 60s style, of Kody Neilson's Opossom last week and gifted the track 'Fly' from his new album Electric Hawaii. Another track 'Girl' enters our Top 30 at 24. Another band we featured, also from Finland is Big Wave Riders and as promised, the synth laden 'Sunny Season' is in at 25. Their new album, Life Less Ordinary is out now.

Holy Other's 'Held' remains at one this week which coincides with the release of his debut album of the same name this week while Seattle's Seapony enter the Top 10 with the gorgeously simple yet affecting 'Prove To Me' as do Eidolons with the offbeat gem, 'Xylem And Phloem'.
