Four new ones this week and two pieces of exciting vinyl news. The two highest entries come from artists that released their full lengths at the beginning of the year on cassette and digital formats only. Californian multi-instrumentalist and genre bender Sam Flax's record Age Waves will now see a vinyl release on September 17 and the track 'Child Of Glass' makes a belated appearance at number 19. Montreal's TOPS meanwhile put out their debut, Tender Opposites on wax back in June and now their new single, 'Diamond Look' is set for a vinyl release too. That's in at 20. The B side 'Easy Friends' has been made available as a free download so grab that as a bones below. Another Canadian outfit, this time from Toronto, who we featured yesterday, Southern Shores comes in at 26 with 'New Love', while another Californian act, ESP debuts at 28 with 'Serenade'. Check out the video for that below.
There is a new number one this week which also coincides with more vinyl news. Chromatics 'The Streets Will Never Look The Same' from the album Kill For Love has hit number one giving the Portland crew their second number one of the year. The band released the much awaited album on vinyl on August 26 and it sold out its first run of 10,000 copies in less than twelve hours. Even we were forced to go looking to the UK for a copy. It replaces 'Held' by Manchester producer Holy Other off our current AOTW of the same name.
Check the previously unfeatured new ones below as well as the TOPS bonus and go to the whole chart here.
