SPAIN'S PRIMAVERA LINEUP ANNOUNCED Primavera Sound will be taking place May 25 - 29, in Poblet, and May 26 - 28 in Barcelona with a stellar line up once again. Featuring six different stages, one a dedicated All Tomorrow's Parties stage, and another curated by Pitchfork, the festival just keeps getting better. Lineup so far includes; Animal Collective, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Belle & Sebastian, Fleet Foxes, Mogwai, The Fiery Furnaces, The Flaming Lips, The National and Pulp. The San Miguel Primavera Club, is a smaller event happening simultaneously in Barcelona and Madrid between the 24th and the 28th November. Headlining is pop legend, Edwyn Collins presenting his comeback album and sharing the stage with another Scottish band, Teenage Fan Club. Lou Barlow and the organic electronic music of the Canadians Holy Fuck will also be there along with Beach Fossils, Male Bonding, Yuck, Wavves and Wild Nothing. Primavera Sounds also offers a stage for yet to be discovered bands. Get along to this beautiful Spring festival if you have half a chance.
BEST COAST TOUR (MOST OF) AUSTRALIA Heading down under for the first time, Best Coast's lo-fi surf rock sound will be heard over March 4 -11, in the cities on the east coast, plus Perth. It's set to be one of the great summer shows. But once again Adelaide gets a wave out of the Qantas window as yet another band flies directly over leaving many indie fans again disappointed. Here are the dates: March 4 - Perth International Arts Festival
BRAND NEW SMALL BLACK VIDEOS Using the amazing interior of 5 Beeker St, NYC, a once grand, now dilapidated and abandoned building built in the 1880s, Small Black have recorded videos for 'Camouflage' and 'Light Curse'. Performing pared down versions, the five story atrium must have provided amazing acoustics for these great songs. The videos were produced by Foglight Films and match the location and music perfectly. Don't despair, there are plans apparently to turn the architectural gem into a hotel. Check out the tracks below. CamouflageSmall Black (USA)From the album, 'New Chain', Jagjaguwar
