SHOOTING THE BREEZE WITH THE SHILOHS
Monday, 26 May 2014 00:00

Vancouver pop quartet The Shilohs recently gifted us a damn fine dose of gorgeous retro pop music in the form of their self titled second album. It's a quick turn around from their first, So Wild, released just last year. You get the feeling on this understated twelve song guitar driven wonder that attention to detail in melody and arrangement was the order of the day despite there being a feeling of unhurried mellowness drifting throughout, guitars interwined effortlessly. The first single was the catchy, hook laden 'Palm Readers', which is currently spending its seventh week in our Top 30 and the album itself is currently our album of the week. To mark that fact we've posted another fine track from the record below, the bass line driven 'Ordinary People'. There's beauty in simplicity folks.
