Montreal art rock quartet Corridor heralded the release of their debut LP Le Voyage Éternal with a blistering set at Bar Le Ritz last Thursday here in their hometown. Highlighting the band's penchant for alternating shades of light and dark, for almost an hour and a half they ripped through all their new tracks peppered with some older numbers as well from their first EP, Un Magicien En Toi. For those of you unfamiliar with the band's sound, its the combination between Julien Perreault's intricate spiky leads and melodies and the warmth and pop sensibility that emanates from dual vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jonathan Robert that results in the aforementioned contrasts and when stitched methodically together by the the powerful, driving angular like bass lines from fellow vocalist Dominic Berthiaume and the metronomic but at times mathematical like beats from drummer Marc-André Chapdelaine, the sound collage is complete. Yes, the Women comparison's are there if you want to be lazy but there's far more to this band for the comparison to be that simple.

Check out some pictures from the show below and listen to the short and hardly sweet track 'Castor et Pollux' as well. It's the only track doing the free rounds right now but to get a better idea of the band, the album is also streaming in full over at Exclaim here. If you like what you hear, grab the album here. If you are in the US, word is the cancelled dates with Melody's Echo Chamber have been rescheduled for later in the year.
